The feminist garden at Parliament Hill School was officially launched in November 2021 at a ceremony involving speeches, poetry, and title dedications.
The PUNL Community Energy Fund provided a grant for the creation of the meadow and trees.
Pupils planted plaques celebrating women’s achievements while simultaneously making a statement against climate change.
Attendees were invited to plant a bulb and the event closed with a blessing: “May your roots grow deep and your branches strong.”
The event was also part of the Mayor of London’s Climate KickStart week of climate action in schools.
