LUX is an international arts agency that supports and promotes artists’ moving image practices and the ideas that surround them. Founded in 2002 as a charity and not-for-profit limited company, In 2012 Lux moved into the ‘Waterlow Park Centre’, a millennium heritage project.

As part of an initiative for the park to go carbon neutral, PUNL was approached and a project has been developed to install a 34 kWp PV array on the north facing roof, which would generate approx. 23 MWh/y providing c. 40% of the site’s demand.  Planning permission has been obtained, the District Network Operator (UKPN) has approved the connection, and the structural integrity of the building confirmed.

Currently the project is being discussed between PUNL, LUX and Camden Council to assess extent to which an agreement can be found.

PUNL have registered the site with Ofgem giving until March 2020 to complete and still obtain the Feed-In-Tariff.
