Renewable heat and energy efficiency project • Completed January 2021
About
In late December 2020 Power Up North London was engaged to assist the London Borough of Islington to undertake renewable heat feasibility work for three school projects funded by the Salix Low Carbon Skills Fund. Drayton Park Primary School (DPPS) was one of these sites. The others were New Riverside College and Beacon High School. CREW Energy undertook the feasibility work on Beacon High School.
Funding & delivery
PUNL engaged mstep, a local engineering & design company, to do the technical feasibility for DPPS and to report back to the Council. The work had to be completed by the end of January.
Benefits & impact
The deliverable was a detailed report containing a program of energy efficiency measures that would enable effective decarbonisation of heat at DPPS. The report contained sufficient detail for LBI to submit an application to the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme should capital funding become available in future.
